Philip Knight and Bill Bowerman both founded the iconic brand Nike, with its headquarters located in the state of Oregon. The two partners first met at the University of Oregon, where Bill was a running coach and Philip was a student accountant and avid runner. They shared a strong passion for the sport. At the time, athletic shoes were quite expensive, so Philip sourced affordable yet well-crafted pairs from Japan. Bill, on the other hand, assisted in selling the products. This marked the beginning of their journey, eventually leading to the establishment of their own company, BRS, which later evolved into the global powerhouse known as Nike.
