The renowned brand with the Swoosh logo has teamed up with the Boston shop, Concepts, to reimagine the iconic Air Max 1 with the "Message To Universe" collection, inspired by the hippie culture of the 60s.

The Nike Air Max 1 Concepts Mellow reveals a washed denim base, adorned with various prints near the heel and throughout the upper. The green mudguard takes inspiration from the military jackets worn by peace advocates at festivals like Woodstock in 1969. Bordeaux accents on the laces, the floral-detailed Swoosh, and the velvet tongue create a striking contrast with the overall design. A cream-colored midsole with speckled patterns and a brown outsole, both designed by Tinker Hatfield, perfect the aesthetic.

This collaboration marks the launch of Nike's Air Max Day for the year 2022, paying tribute to the artists who participated in protests against the Vietnam War.
