Cortez Union Sesame

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic Cortez, Nike has partnered with Union to create a special edition sneaker inspired by the vibrant city of Los Angeles.

The Nike Cortez Union Sesame showcases a diverse and colorful canvas base, predominantly in light brown. The reimagined silhouette features suede leather overlays, adding a touch of sophistication. The lateral Swoosh logo stands out in a striking shade of pink, coordinating with the front eyelets and the turquoise back tongue, which proudly displays the Frontman logo, representing Chris Gibbs' brand.

A turquoise deubré pays homage to the history of the Cortez, with the inscription "Cortez 1972," signifying the original release date of the pair. Moving down, the midsole is crafted with foam made from Nike Grind, while the outsole contains at least 10% Nike Grind material, adding sustainability to the shoe's design.

This unique iteration not only captures the cultural diversity of Los Angeles but also breathes new life into a timeless classic. Nike, known as the brand from Beaverton, and the renowned Californian shop, Union, have come together to create a rejuvenated version that appeals to a younger audience.
